Mi familia imaginaria:
You will need to bring in 10 pictures of people cut out from magazines or printed off the internet. Youwill be using them over the next few days to make a family tree for your imaginary family. Please make sure you have both men and women and that the pictures are not too big. You may include yourself if you want to.
You are going to invent a family. You should have at least 10 family members and at least three generations in your family. You can have more than that if you so desire.
Your first task will be to invent a family tree. You can use the pictures to make a large one later this week in class, but you may want to do a rough draft on paper with just text (do not use your pictures yet!). You will need to decide how each person is related to each other. You will need to give them names and ages.
Once you have done this, you will use the pictures you cut out to put faces with the names you have chosen.Please use a sheet of plain white computer/copy paper to make your family tree. You should only put their names and ages on the family tree.Please write in a complete sentence for their names and ages. Make sure your family tree looks neat and is easy to read.
Once this is done,you will prepare a written description that describes your family in more detail. You will tell me:
- where they are from,
- how they are related to one another,
- one or two characteristics of each person (blond, intelligent, etc)
- and what the different people like to do.
You will need to talk about 4 people in the family and will need to tell me at least 3-4 things about each person. You may add more if you wish.
This will be due after Thanksgiving, on the Monday we return. If you are going to convention, please get it done on your own time. If you will be here, you will have some class time to work on this and will likely be able to get a lot of it done.
