JANITORIALSERVICES – F.E. WEYMOUTH WATER TREATMENT PLANT

To all prospective respondents to Request for Bid No. 234521, the information given in this Addendum No. 3 is hereinafter incorporated into RFB-MD-234521.

1. Delete in its entirety Item 4, Staffing Notes in Addendum 2.

2.Amend Section 3, Paragraph 3, Performance Hours to read:

3. Performance Hours

Nightly Janitor Work

This work shall be performed:

  • Monday through Thursday – 4 nights: Each night beginning at 5:00 p.m. and ending before 6:00 a.m.
  • Sunday: Start time will be determined by Contractor, but once determined it will remain the crew’s scheduled start time. Sunday work must be completed by 6:00 a.m. Monday.

Day Work (Day Porters)

This work will be performed as follows:

  • Monday through Thursday – 4 days. Two (2) Day Porters and each porter will work 8 hours each day. Lead Day Porter works 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The 2nd Day Porter works from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday – 1 day. Only one Day Porter works. Hours are 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

3.Amend the following in Section 3, Paragraph 4 to read:

Current Levels

The current contractor is providing the following janitorial staff:

  • Two (2) Day Porters, Monday-Friday. Each works 8 hours per day. Lead day porter works 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. 2nd Day Porter works 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Night Crew of One (1) Supervisor and seven (7) janitors, each working 40 hours per week

New Staffing Requirements

For this RFB, Metropolitan requires:

  • Two (2) day porters Monday-Thursday. Each works 8 hours per day. Lead Day porter works 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 pm. 2nd day porter works 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Only one (1) day porter on Fridays 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

For this RFB, Metropolitan will not specify a minimum number of night staff or the number of hours the night crew is to work. Contractor must determine and provide the appropriate number of night staff to meet the specification. Contractor will meet the work requirements, and if they are unable to do so with the amount of staff bid (or contracted) then the Contractor will be required to provide extra staff at no additional cost to Metropolitan.

Note:The last two (2) paragraphs of Paragraph 4, Staffing Levels, as stated in the RFB, remain the same.

4.The RFB due date remains the same. All bid submittals must be received in NetConnect system by 11:00 a.m., PDT, Friday, October 21, 2011.

Except as amended herein, or as modified by prior addendum, all provisions of RFB-MD-234521 remain the same.
