FREE School Healthy lifestyle family programmes for 5-7 and 7-13 year olds and their families.

Mytime Active has been commissioned by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham Council to offer a range of free healthy lifestyle services across the three boroughs. Our Mind, Exercise, Nutrition…Do it! (MEND) sessions provide nutritional advice and guidelines, alongside fun exercise games and activities. All sessions are tailored to participant needs and capabilities and are delivered in local venues such as Children’s Centre’s and schools.

Who: Children aged 5-7 accompanied by a parent or carer (No weight criteria).

Who: Children aged 7-13 with a BMI ≥ 91st centile accompanied by a parent or carer.

When: One 1 hour 30 or 2-hour session a week for either ten or twelve weeks.

· Requires hall space and one classroom after school

· We can carry out ‘healthy growth checks’ across the whole school to help signpost children to the programme as well as liaising with your school nurse for referrals

· We can deliver a whole school assembly to help promote the programme and attend parent coffee mornings

· We work in conjunction with the NCMP data and your school nurse

· We can provide FREE optional training to all staff on how to raise to issue of weight

What we cover: Regular eating and healthy family habits, family meal planning and routines, understanding fats and sugars, portion sizes, learning to read food labels, balanced eating, reducing screen time and sedentary behaviour, goal setting and rewards.
