MACON COUNTY CATTLEMEN’S ASSOCIATION
SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
· All applicants must be a current member of a Macon County 4-H club, a Macon Co. FFA chapter, the Macon County Cattlemen, or the Macon Co. Junior Cattlemen and/or have a parent, grandparent, or spouse that are current members of the Macon County Cattlemen’s Association.
· Must be a high school senior enrolled in a college or a technical school, or a current college or technical student enrolled for the coming year that has not already received the scholarship for current college or technical students.
· Applications must be typed or computer generated.
· Applicants may add extra sheets, if needed, to completely answer a question. However, applicants should use sound judgment to list only that which is most appropriate.
· Applications will be judged by a committee and the winner(s) will be announced at the recipients’ graduation or awards ceremony if possible.
· Preference will be given, but not limited to, students who plan a future related to agriculture.
· At least four(4) $500 scholarships will awarded to high school seniors enrolled in a college or technical school for the coming year and at least two(2) $500 scholarships will be awarded to current college or technical students enrolled for the coming year. The association reserves the right to not award the designated number of scholarships annually.
· Note that this is a local scholarship from the Macon County Cattlemen’s Association and this application does not qualify the student for the Missouri Cattlemen’s Foundation scholarship. We will however consider participating in the Community-match scholarship with the Missouri Cattlemen’s Foundation. This match will be considered upon request by qualified student and will be limited to one per lifetime.
· Applications must be turned in or post marked no later than April 1. Mail Applications to: Cathy Baker, 31350 Mariner St., Atlanta, MO 63530.
