Breaking up is hard to do
(the Ottoman Empire Break up story)
Long, Long ago there was a tribe of Turks. The Turks were a tribe from 1.______that conquered much of the2. ______/Europe and ruled for 600 years. As they expanded their territory they became known as the Ottoman Empire. This Empire included many different 3.______and ethnic groups and was a HUGE empire! However, most tribes did NOT like being controlled by the Ottomans.
The Ottoman Empire was located between western 4.______and eastern5. ______. During this time, travelers went by land and used the travel routes for trade.
