Sushi Pack hits the Big Screen with a Summer Movie

NEW YORK, NY (June 10, 2008) – Following thesuccessful launch of the TV series onCBS,Sushi Pack is rolling out to retail. American Greetings Properties, the intellectual property and outbound licensing division of American Greetings Corporation (NYSE: AM), is launching Sushi Packmerchandise this summer with an exclusive product line available at American Greetings/Carltonstores throughout North America as well as a new program with online retailer, TysToyBox.com. Additionally in the US, a Sushi Pack summer film series will debut through Kidtoons Films this July.

Originally created by Studio Espinosa and optioned and developed by American Greetings Properties, Sushi Pack consists of four brave superhero pieces of sushi and their sidekick, Wasabi,who protect WharfCity. The television treatment for Sushi Pack was written by animation legends Tom Ruegger and Nicholas Hollander, the Emmy-winning writers/producers behind such animated hits as Animaniacs, Tiny Toons Adventures, and Pinky and the Brain. The Sushi Pack TV series airs weekends on CBS with all new episodes launching September 2008.

In August 2008, American Greeting Properties will launch an exclusive lifestyle program with a wide range of Sushi Pack products in all 416 American Greetings/Carlton stores in the US and Canada. In total, 36 different Sushi Pack products will be offered including plush, apparel, messenger bags, backpacks, and lunch boxes as well as American Greetings cards and stickers for girls, 4-8.

Sushi Pack products will be merchandised in a new area called AGKidZone, Carlton's new children’s section. Products will also be available simultaneously on Retail marketing support will include dedicated in store signage and a free DVD gift with purchase promotion that will include Sushi Pack entertainment, games and activities.

American Greetings Properties will support theCarlton merchandise program this summer with a national TV, print and online advertising campaign with Nickelodeon as well as a summer movie series with Kidtoons Films. The movie series will hit 150 theatres across the U.S from July 2008 through September 2008, with the feature, ‘Sushi Pack, The Movie’ debuting in August. In theatre advertising for the Carlton program will appear on 3,500 screens across the nation and will drive movie-goers to Carlton and American Greetings stores to purchase Sushi Pack products.

American Greetings Properties will also work with Ty’s Toy Box to launch an all new online storefront for Sushi Pack apparel as part of a custom print on-demand program including personalized t-shirts and sweatshirts. The site is scheduled to launch on July 15, 2008 and will continue to be the exclusive destination for personalized Sushi Pack apparel through December 31, 2009.

Additionally, master publisher, Random House will be launching the first books in the Sushi Pack publishing program in spring 2009.

Housed under the AGKidZone.com network site, the newly launched continues to gain momentum with over 3 million monthly unique visitors. To keep fans engaged, four innovative, new games will be added to the site between June and September,along with printable coloring pages, downloads and fully streamed episodes of Sushi Pack.
