Flavia E. Pereira, Ph.D., CTDOT - Flavia has been with CTDOT since February 2016 with prior experience in Biomedical Research related to human health and diseases. Her role in the Research Section has been an extension of part of her experience in the biomedical field applying writing skills, understanding of research and critical thinking ability. She is a key contributor in the development of the biennial research work plan, re-writing of the CTDOT Research Handbook/manual as well as maintaining and updating the dynamic CTDOT Research website, RiP and TRID databases. She is also responsible for preparations of several reports including FHWA work program year-end report and presentation, completion of reports for CTDOT legacy projects etc. The Research Section has appreciated her involvement with the day-to-day research activities including reviewing new research proposals; correspondence with FHWA and their research partners; and, providing research and planning assistance by contributing constructively to the discussions and decision making to execute research activities. Flavia was appointed as one of the CTDOT RAC representative in September and has been participating in the RAC Task Forces of Value of Research and Collaboration and Coordination.
