Conference Process
Regional Conferences or PD Days:
For any regional conference request that you receive, please do the following:
1. Decide if you want to attend based on the conference, customer reach, topic etc.
2. If you want to attend, please know that it will have to come out of your own T&E for the registration. If it is a bigger cost and you still want to go, please discuss with your sales manager as they may have some room in their personal budget to cover it.
3. Please work with KATHIE KIRCHSTEIGER to register and to request the cheque for payment and/or any special requests for display materials (extra banners, computer monitor etc). Kathie will require your cost centre in order to process the registration and payment.
4. You are responsible for ordering the samples you require in order to display at any regional conferences.
Provincial Conferences (Approved on Marketing Budget):
Note: a schedule of K-20 Conferences/Events will be posted monthly to Playbook and/or Focus on School)
1. If the provincial conference you wish to display at is not already on the approved K-20 Conference list, please submit request to Kathie Kirchsteiger. Kathie will then work with Giselle Goncalves on the approval. If approved, Kathie will register and arrange for payment. If not approved, Kathie will advise requesting rep.
2. On provincial conferences that have already been approved and are on the K-20 list, your sales manager will inform you if your presence is required at the booth/table(s).
3. Note: in instances, where we have no display, but you wish to attend sessions, approval must be obtained by your sales manager. If approved, you are responsible for registering yourself and claiming any costs on your T&E.
4. Marketing manager is responsible for creating a booklist and submitting to Kathie Kirchsteiger 4 – 6 weeks in advance of the conference in order to ensure sufficient stock.
5. Local reps are encouraged to bring their conference equipment; however, additional equipment will be sent, if required.
Speaker Requests
Requests for speakers at either a Regional or Provincial conference must first be discussed with the appropriate marketing manager.
Marketing manager will then work with Kathie Kirchsteiger to submit proposal to appropriate conference.
Speakers are responsible for making their own hotel accommodations, if required, and submitting any expenses to the appropriate marketing manager. Once reviewed, the marketing manager will pass the expenses to Kathie Kirchsteiger for handling.
