Hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.

We will be having our annual meeting of the General Body on Sunday

November 13, 2016 at 2pm. We will have the elections for the Governing Board and Executive Committee.

We have 4 positions open on the Executive Committee.

There are 3 positions open in the Governing Board: 1 Life Member position, 1 Trustee Member position and 1 Founding Trustee/Benefactor position.

We encourage all devotees who are eligible and wish to work in a harmonious manner to get involved. Selfless service is the most rewarding.

If you wish to run or nominate a candidate for one of the open positions, please fill out the attached form and send it to me. We will then contact you once we have received the form. One must be a Life Member, Patron Member or Trustee Member, Founding Trustee Member or Benefactor Member in good standing and must want to work for the betterment of the temple and its goals and mission.

As part of the commitment to SFHT, one must be willing to attend meetings, give their time for various events. All nominations must be submitted by Thursday, November 10, 2016.

If planning to nominate a member from the floor, the name must be submitted by Thursday 11/10/16 to allow nominating committee ample time to verify potential candidate.

(a) A Founding Trustee Member of South Florida Hindu Temple OR

(b) A Benefactor Member of South Florida Hindu Temple, OR

(c) A Trustee/Patron/Life Member with the following service criteria:

(i) Having served on a Temple Committee or Executive Committee for an aggregate of 6 years or (ii) Served as an officer of the Executive Committee for 3 years, OR

(d) A Trustee Member with a cumulative donation of more than $50,000 and having served on any temple committee for an aggregate for 3 years

II) Nominee must be willing to dedicate sufficient time to the organization activities.

III) Nominee must present credentials to support his nomination to the Governing Board/ Nominating Committee.
