Tom called meeting to order at 8:08am.

Previous Meeting Minutes: Motion for minutes made by Jeffrey Baird and second by Stephanie Fabritius minutes approved.

EDP Report: Tom Poland spoke on behalf of Jody Lassiter on the community breakfast held at the library on November 4th as a great success. The EDP Board Members Appreciation Gathering will be held at Warrenwood on December 8th from 5-7pm, everyone on the HOD board is invited and encouraged to come. The Chandler Group from Nashville will be making a return visit to present the findings in their initial data gathering for the ‘rebranding’ campaign for Danville. The HOD since under the SPGE will be partaking in an audit before the end of the fiscal year.

Financial Report: Mary Beth Touchstone gave the financial report – balance sheet looks very good no issues to worry about currently. Sarah Hempel made motion to approve and Stephanie Fabritius moved to second. Financial Report approved.

Organization Committee: Sarah Hempel reported on the resignation of Missy Angolia and the need for the board to form a search committee to assit in finding a suitable replacement as well an updated job desription. The health insurance offered for the employees of the EDP will be increasing 39% in 2016. The new Executive Board will be President-Tom Poland, Vice- Ann Yeager Hamlin, Treasure- Mary Beth Touchstone, Secretary-Amy Wise. The new HOD Board Member nominations will be emailed to the Heart of Danville’s Membership to approve. Motion to approve the Executive Board made by MaryBeth Touchstone and second by Jeffery Baird.

Promotions Committee: Sandy Turner gave the holiday events update most importantly the First Annual North Pole Stroll to take place tomorrow night beginning with the Elf Fest at Constitution Square 5-6pm. There will be pictures with Santa, hot chocolate, kettle corn, and Danville Boyle County Humane Society ‘Reindogs’ for the festival. From 6-6:30 everyone will ‘stroll’ down Main St. together behind the Boyle County High School Marching Band to the Mayor’s Tree Lighting. The following Saturday will be Shop 2nd Saturday and we will be giving out signed Elf on the Shelf sets to the winners of our December drawing.

Design and Preservation Committee: Bethany reported for the preservation committee and the HOD will be decorating a mini tree for the Jacob’s Hall Tea. The planning for 2016 programs is already underway. Some new events are on the forefront one is a play at Pioneer Playhouse about Second Street and will hopefully tie in with the Soul of Second Street Festival.

Economic Restructuring Committee: Bethany filled in for Valerie to give report, Stuart Arnold is finishing up the small business programs and the committee is working on the 2016 planning.

Directors Report:Bethany spoke on behalf of the ER committee and entered in (2) nominations for Main St. Awards; the Preservation Conference and the Soul of Second St. Festival. The Recertification process is in full swing and working hard to get all the numbers from businesses.
