  • History:understand some of the ways in which we find out about the past and identify different ways in which it is represented.

  • PE Perform dances using simple movement patterns.
  • Art: Use a range of materials creatively to design and make products, to use drawing, painting and sculpture to develop and share their ideas, experiences and imagination.

Read the book Dinosaur Tracks by Kathleen Zoefiel. Find out how to step back into history through the footprint of a dinosaur; find out how large dinosaurs were by measuring out the actual length and width of a dinosaur. / Children will:

You will need: Access to the internet; Dinosaur Tracks by Kathleen Zoefield; A box of plastic dinosaurs; Outdoor equipment, e.g. cones, bean bags.

Session 2

Provided: Information sheets covering: Dinosaur movement prompts; How to make dinosaur skins and capes & How to make a Shoe-seratops!

You will need: Access to the internet; Old fabrics, hoops and cones; Long sheets of bubble wrap, Paint, Sponge or objects for printing, Paint brushes; A3 paper, glitter, beads, crayons, coloured paper and foil.

Session 3

Provided: Information sheet on Dinosaur Stomp steps; Children’s dance video.

You will need: Access to the internet; FC/IWB set up in the school hall; Drum.
