**** IMMEDIATE NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS ****
Brown Envelopes:
The PTA has an immediate need for help stuffing the Brown Envelopes. That’s right folks, they don’t stuff themselves! We target 10 volunteers per week for this activity and have been running EXTREMELY light. Pleaseconsider helping out with this highly critical activity! Remember, many hands make for light work! Yearbook Committee:
The PTA is in need of a Chair for the Yearbook committee. The chair will play a central role in documenting all the fun and learning that will take place throughout the 2017-2018 school year! If you have an interest, please email the PTA Board directly (). Thank you
Vision & Hearing Screenings:
Thursday, September 28th our school nurse, Mrs. Libby Johnson will be conducting vision and hearing screens on all first, second, third and fifth graders. She is looking for 2 parents to escort kids between their classroom and the testing area between 9:15 am and 2:30 pm. If you can help for ANY or ALL of that time, please let her know ASAP, 952-806-7008 /. Thank you
Family Fun Night – SING!
Mark your Calendar & Join in the Fun
- Family Fun Night is this Friday, September 22 at 6:30pmin the NH Gym. We will be showing Sing! Bring a picnic dinner, blankets, pillows or lawn chairs to enjoy the movie. Better yet, bring your friends!
- A Munchie Bar will be available to sweeten the night! Care to share? We are looking for snack donations for the evening. Please feel free to bring donations to the Table at the front entrance of school if you can help.
- This event is FREE for all families. We will be collecting a free will donation to give to VEAP.
Spirit Wear
The last day to order spirit wear is THIS Friday, September, 22nd. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to buy a T-shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie so you can show your pride in the Normandale Hills Knights all year long! Purchase forms went home last week but can also be found in the office.

Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to be room leads! All classrooms now have a parent (or two) who are busy at work assigning volunteers to help with field trips and classroom parties.
2017-2018 Fall Fundraiser
Funds are always needed for the PTA to be able to accomplish its goals for the Faculty & Students and this year is no different. A flier will be sent home in the upcoming brown envelope to kick off the fall fundraising effort. Keep an eye on the front lobby to see our “coat of arms” come to life!
Fall Book Fair
The PTA is once again teaming up with Scholastic to bring you the annual Fall Book Fair. This year the event will be held from Oct 12th through Oct 18th in the schools front lobby. Student Directory
All families will be receiving a free copy of the student directory this year. Keep an eye out for the Information Request Form which will be sent home in the next few weeks.
