Dear Parent/Carer

GCSE Art Wakehurst Place Art study Trip

Year 10 Art students have the opportunity to visit Wakehurst Place and Gardens on Thursday 24th October 2013. They will make drawings and take photographs for their current Natural Environments project. Students will take part in workshops and see sculptures inspired by nature in the grounds.

The workshops will include the use of powerful microscopes from the Millennium Seed Bank and mono printing in the centre’s practical teaching room. Students are not required to wear school uniform but need to wear suitable clothing for practical workshops including outdoor footwear and a warm/waterproof coat. Students need to bring a packed lunch and drink, basic drawing equipment and if possible, a camera or device to take photographs.

We will travel to Wakehurst Place by coach, students are asked to register as normal in the morning and we aim to be back in school by 4.00pm. The cost of this trip is £14.00 which includes workshops, coach travel and insurance costs. Please complete and return the reply slip below to the Trips Box by Friday 4th October. Please pay on-line, if you are unable to pay on-line, please send a cheque.
