SUMMARY OF MAIN FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE OF JOB
The incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the Director: Finance/CFO in performing general accounting functions, assist with analysis and control of accounting procedures, so as to enhance and report on organisational financial performance.
LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the production of accurate and timely management information.
- Detailed review of costs and variance analysis.
- Assistance in the compilation and capturing of budgets.
- Variance analysis.
- Maintenance of the integrity, accuracy and completeness of respective accounting records and information systems.
- Production of information for Management reports on a monthly basis.
- Ensuring the completion of monthly financial packs.
- Guidance of staff in Finance Department.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain the demand management planning for the procurement of goods and services.
- Manage the acquisition or procurement of goods and services. Monitor and support the Asset Management processes.
- Submit budget inputs in respect of the acquisition of assets, consolidate and monitor the hospital’s procurement plan.
- Manage human, financial and physical resources in the Supply Chain Management unit.
- Compile submissions of needs assessment for certification by Chief Operating Officer.
- Manage logistics regarding stores warehousing, transport and vendor performance on assets, Manage contracts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Applicants must have a BCom majoring in Accounting.
- 3 years’ financial accounting experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Software Applications.
- SAP System experience preferred.
- Hospital experience highly advantageous.
- Initiative and decision making, including good attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and work under pressure.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills(teamwork).
