Need to make up a reading log? Absent for a week or two?

Here’s what you do to make up your points!

1)  Read for 30 minutes. SOLID.

2)  Have a parent or guardian SIGN HERE ______saying that you read for that WHOLE time. Not a teacher! This is HOMEWORK!

3)  Write a serious paragraph about what you read. Not some measly two sentence thing. I want a PARAGRAPH. Give me names of characters, give me details about the plot, and give me predictions and details. I want you to respond to what you read. Spelling and punctuation count! And they count a lot, so put some effort and time into this. Use another sheet of paper if you need to (If you can’t write a WHOLE paragraph, neatly, in the space below, then you should use a separate sheet of paper).

4)  For every paragraph you write, with a parent signature, you make up 10 points of a response journal.

5)  IMPORTANT—you need these points to pass. You should put some effort into this. If you don’t, your grade will reflect that. If you want the points, do the work.
