Presentations of School Plans – Principals
Please refer to handouts distributed at the meeting for more specific information.
· Bordeaux will present their plan at the January 10th meeting.
· Evergreen: Adina presented a Building Summary Report. There was some discussion about the portables and when they would be available for EVG use. Robert indicated that the current plan is for portables to be renovated over the summer. Robert suggested that summer school should take place in the pod adjacent to the gym.
· Mountain View: Jorge presented a Building Summary Report which provided a brief outline of the MTV reconfiguration committee comments/concerns. Alex confirmed that the plan for MTV was finalized today. Brenda and Jorge agreed. There was some discussion about using MTV as the district repository for surplus items. Robert indicated that the option was being explored.
· Olympic Middle School: Steve Torres presented a document titled OMS Reconfiguration Summary. He talked about current safety issues on the playground as well as his desire for a school that utilizes modern technology.
Next Steps: OMS and EVG should have their inventory lists to Robert by the end of the week (December 15th). Complete inventory lists and summaries from BDX, OBJH, SHS, and CHS will be presented at the January meeting. Robert asked that plans from these four schools be submitted to him by January 8th to allow time for review and printing. Cabinet members were asked to work with their buildings to ensure timely completion.
