Call for Posters

Information

Posters will be displayed throughout the meeting, with a special poster session during lunchtime, with‘quick fire’ talks from each presenter. If you would like to display a poster please provide a brief 100 word outline of its contents on the Registration Form overleaf.The deadline for applying for a poster space is 15 April 2016. Poster boards will be 1m x 1m.

Submissionsfor posters can be emailed to or posted to the Freshwater Biological Association, The Ferry Landing, Far Sawrey, Ambleside, Cumbria LA22 0LP, UK. Please include your name and contact details withthe abstract and clearly label the file ordocument.

Student Prize

A prize will beawarded for the best student poster. To enter for the prize, you mustbe the main author, registered with auniversity/college, and presenting workundertaken during your own studies(eligibility also extends to those who havecompleted their studies within the last 12months and are presenting the results oftheir studies).

Venue and Accommodation

FBA Windermere is situated on the west shore of Windermere, close to the Ferry slipway, on the B5285. There is limited parking on-site and, therefore, free transport from Oxenholme Train Station and Bowness Bay, Pier 3 is available (see details on the Registration Form overleaf and indicate your requirements). There are National Trust car parks a few minutes walk away (pay and display or free to NT Members) or alternatively you can park in the pay and display car park on the east shore and cross the lake on the Car Ferry as a pedestrian. There is a charge to use the Car Ferry.

How to Register

Please complete the Registration Form overleaf and return, with payment, to the address specified. There is a subsidised registration fee for FBA Members and students; Non-Members can join the FBA at or by contacting the FBA, details overleaf.

We regret that refunds for cancellations cannot be offered after 25 April 2016.
