Established in 1961 in Arnold, Maryland with easy access to Baltimore and Washington D.C., AACC is a fully-accredited, public, two-year institution offering credit programs leading to an associate degree, a certificate or a letter of recognition. Students may prepare for transfer to a four-year institution or for an immediate career. AACC also offers extensive lifelong learning opportunities and noncredit, continuing education to those seeking career training or retraining, working to improve basic skills or pursue new areas of interest.
Faculty members are expected to serve on departmental and college committees, advise students, pursue professional development and participate in community and business partnerships, research and grants. They should also be prepared to use technology and learning outcomes assessment to enhance classroom teaching and show commitment to innovation, teaching excellence and a teaching/learning focus.
We invite faculty applications now for renewable, term-contract faculty appointments for fall 2010 beginning August 16, 2010, potentially leading to tenure-track positions.
Salary range / $39,278 - 58,431
Required Qualifications: / MFA required. Ability to teach foundation courses: 2-D design, drawing and color and professional exhibition record required.

Required Qualifications: / MFA required. Ability to teach a range of photography courses using both digital and traditional darkroom methods, in a rapidly growing fine art and digital design program. Position includes responsibilities for managing digital and darkroom labs, curriculum development and student mentoring.
