The Annual Review is a statutory requirement for all children for whom the LA maintains a Statement. It will assess the progress the child has made in meeting the objectives specified in the Statement and the annual targets agreed after the statement was issued or set at the last Annual Review. It will also set targets for the coming year. It will also review the deployment of resources in relation to the child's needs. The Annual Review form should be completed by the Headteacher, or teacher with delegated responsibility and forwarded to the LEA which will then make decisions in light of the review recommendations.
PARTS A & B SHOULD BE COMPLETED AND CIRCULATED BEFORE THE ANNUAL REVIEW MEETING. PARTS C & D SHOULD BE DISCUSSED AND COMPLETED AT THE MEETING.
