GATTACA Reflection Entries-Include the section number for clarity.

Each day, answer the following questions. The questions will be due on Tuesday, February 21. You may put answers to all three days on the same few sheets of paper. Please answer them completely and spend time thinking & writing. These are NOT one or two sentence answers. Once this paper is returned, staple or tape it into your journal.

Monday & Tuesday:

  1. Overall movie reaction for today
  2. Looking at the technology presented today in the film, what is your feeling on if the technology should be used.
  3. What parts of today’s portionis or will be possible?
  4. What parts of today’s portion do you feel are too far-fetched?

Each day of the movie, think about these questions and then answer them as the Wed. entry.

V.What is your ethical position on: designed babies, reading someone else’s DNA profile, DNA profiles for job interviews, school records, insurance, etc?

VI. Do you want to know your DNA probabilities? Why/why not?

VII. Do you think genetic discrimination will become a problem? What is your position on it and how can we control it?

You may type or write your entries. IF you keep up with this each day, it is not a big assignment. However, if you wait until the end, it can be lengthy.
