Job Purpose / To support the growth of Six Town Housing service delivery by raising income from a variety of individuals, grant-giving bodies, corporate or other organisations to support the Steps to Success charity.
To generate income through the preparation and submission of bids and tenders.
Special Requirements / Attending meetings at other locations and in the evenings

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. To apply for and secure funding that enables the charitable aspirations of the businessto be met.
  2. To research and identify appropriate opportunities to gain funds within realistic timeframes.
  3. To develop and maintain an excellent knowledge of the charities services and build relationships with Business Managers in order to research, design, write and submit detailed applications for capital and revenue funds to relevant grant- making bodies.
  4. Build an effective and productive working relationship with existing and potential funders through social media, events and networking opportunities.
  5. To write, edit and complete bid documents to deadline, ensuring they are of consistent quality to meet the organisational standards and conform to brand style (including ITTs, PQQs, EOI etc.)
  6. Write reports and/or deliver presentations to communicate progress of bids to both internal and external audiences.
  7. Liaise with the Finance Team to ensure that grant funds received are recorded appropriately and managed in accordance with financial regulations.
  8. Maintain up to date informationon funders and prospects.
  9. To assist the Business Manager Neighbourhoods prepare activity reports for the Executive and Board.
  10. The post holder will be required to carry out any other duties of a similar calibre that are commensurate with the role.

Knowledge and Experience
  1. Experience of writing and delivering successful tenders, ideally in a social housing or equivalent environment
  1. Good understanding and knowledge of trusts; government and lottery funding and the voluntary sector.
  1. A proven track record of raising substantial income on an annualised basis.
  1. Experience in collating monitoring information for reports on grants etc for management and funders.
