SUBJECT: / 2014 AHCA and NCAL Elections

Beginning March 19, 2014 American Health Care Association (AHCA) and National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) members in good standing will have the opportunity to submit an application for the 2014-15 elections for the AHCA Board of Governors and the NCAL Board of Directors.
All electronically submitted applications will be due no later than June 2, 2014. The candidacy paperwork and process will be available as of March 19, 2014 on both the AHCA and NCAL websites. Both AHCA and NCAL elections will take place at the annual conventionin Washington, DC from October 5 – 8, 2014. The AHCA/NCAL Credentialing Committee will be the certifying body for all of the candidates.
The following AHCA Board positions will be elected:
- AHCA Chair
- AHCA Vice Chair
- AHCA Secretary/Treasurer (one position)
- Not for Profit Representative
- Multifacility Representative
- Three At-large Representatives
Incumbents in the positions of AHCA Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary/Treasurer, and Multifacility Representative are eligible to run for re-election. There are three incumbent At-large Representatives eligible to run for re-election.
The following NCAL Board positions will be elected:
- NCAL Chair
- NCAL Vice Chair
- NCAL Secretary/Treasurer (one position)
- Seven At-large Representatives
Incumbents are eligible to run for the NCAL officer positions. The incumbents for five of the seven At-large Representative positions are eligible for re-election.
