OUTLINE FOR HOSTING A WCFO TITLING EVENT
The most important thing to do in order to host an event is to receive approval for your event from the WCFO, INC Board of Directors.

SHOW SITE
1) Select a show site with enough room for to host a ring size area with a minimum of 1,800 square feet,
with the shortest side no less than 30 feet and the longest side no more than 80 feet. With room for
Judges tables on long side of ring. And sound system and computer
2) Place to crate dogs, changing area and or restrooms
3) Optional but desirable a place of warm up ring and spectators
4) Parking and exercise area for dogs
EVENT DATE
1 Select a date and alternate date
2) Closing date is no less than 4 weeks before event date
EVENT DETAILS
1) Are entries limited? Limited entries cannot be accepted until your event has been posted to
the WCFO list and webpage
2) Entries may not be sent in earlier than 3 months before event closing date. No entries accepted after
closing date
3) Post Cd’s and/or cassette tapes accepted, (if cassette tapes not accepted need to post) Food available or not, crating area for dogs.
AFTER EVENT CLOSING DATE and BEFORE SHOW
1) Show Chairman will be sent entries and exhibitor list from Entry Chairman Diane Kowalski
2) Contact WCFO Anna Schloff with totals of score sheets, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals, and qualifying
Ribbons.
3) Put together your program (check scoring system for exhibitor numbers) and schedule and notify your
Exhibitors and Judges.
4) Check with Gay Stahley for titling records of exhibitors
5) Send info to Exhibitors to include, schedule, address of show site, motels that take dogs, crating, directions, and food availability.
JUDGES
1) Your judges must be approved by WCFO Judges Advocate before you contact your judges.
2) One Judge per 25 entries for regular WCFO titling events
3) Three Judge Panels for WCFO National and Internationals
4) Host club is responsible for Judges Expenses and Judges Contracts are recommended
5) Make sure you keep your judges updated on their travel arrangements, hotel, schedule etc. Judges
Should have their plans at least 2 weeks before the event.
6) Score sheets should be all filled out for Judges with name of event, date, division etc.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR EVENT
1 Ring gating, safe flooring (mats or carpeting recommended)
2) Computer and printer for scoring system

Extra CD’s to make copies and printer paper to post scores for exhibitors
3) Music system and microphone
Copy of National Anthem and Dogs Prayer
4) Tables and chairs for Judges, Audience, Music and computer.
5) Video Camera
Set up camera at a good vantage point, should be able to pick up music clearly.
Set up on Platform optional.
DAY OF EVENT
1) Check in and Exhibitor Packets should include Program and Schedule, move up forms,
Vets in area, restaurants in area etc.
2) Check over your show site and make sure everything is in place
