La Grange all Sports Booster Club will be hosting theSpring Meet the Athletes onThursday, January 28th. Hot dogs/chips/& dessertswill be served starting @ 5pmin the HS Cafeteria.The program will begin in the Gym @6 pm.All athletes be at the gym by5:45. Please checkin with your coach.ALL spring sport athletes will be announced in the gym. All athletes, students,family, friends, teachers, coaches,administratorsand supporters are welcome to enjoy the meal and support our Spring athletes.

Round Rock Academic UIL Tournament participants will leave the high school @ 5:45 am Saturday morning. Make sure you have turned in a release form to your sponsor prior to departure.

Attention anyone interested in trying out for Cheerleader or Mascot: There will be a mandatory try-out parent meeting onMonday, February 1st @ 6:30 pmin the HS Cafeteria.A parent/guardian must attend the meeting in order for you to be eligible to try out.Please see Ms. Muil in Rm 111 if you have any questions.

Short Cross Country sign-up meeting Tuesday, February 2nd @ 3:25 in the HS Library. All current 9th, 10th, 11th graders, both boys and girls, interested in running in the Fall of 2016 will need to attend. If you are unable to attend due to another commitment please send Coach Wagner an e-mail .

Kristin Klussmann, Blinn College Student Advisor, will be here,Wednesday, February 3rdin the Cafeteria during lunch for any students interested in Blinn College.

German Club Valentine's Day Messages are due by Wednesday, February 10th to a German Club Member or Rm 115. Make sure you place your order by then to have your Valentine message, balloons and bears delivered during 7th period on February 12th!

If you are planning on going to PASF in San Antonio, with the Spanish Club, onMarch 4-5, please stop by Rm 117 and pay your competition fee of $50 bytomorrow. Space is limited.Registration forms will be submitted that same afternoon. See Ms. Zinglemann or Mrs. Caldera if you have any questions.

v  The University of Texas will host an open houseMarch 5th. There are over 330 activities students can participate in during their visit. More information is located on the school webpage.

SENIORS…

v  Any senior attending TX Tech University, please check LGISD's webpage for admission & scholarship info.

v  Sophomores & Juniors who are planning on enrolling in dual credit courses during the 2016-2017 school year or Seniors who plan on attending Blinn College in the Fall of 2016 must pass the TSIA Test if they have not met the TSIA exemption requirements. La Grange High School has reserved the testing center at Blinn College in Schulenburg,Friday, February 5th. Students will be bused to Schulenburg to take test. If you are interested or have questions regarding the TSIA test, please see one of the counselors. Sign up information is available in the counselor's office. The cost of the test is $45.00. Cash only at the time of sign up is required. There are limited spaces available.

v  Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Applications are dueFebruary 8th.

v  NHS Bought Service Opportunity – Bring cookies or other single baked items to Rm 304 this Thursday, January 28thfor Spring Meet the Athletes.

v  Sacred Heart School is in need of National Honor Society Students who would be willing to serve tables, and wash and dry dishes attheir Valentine's Dinner and Dance onSaturday, February 6thfrom5:30 until 8:30. We also could use helpon Thursday,February 4thwith loading decorations and moving tables from around4:00 until 6:00, if anyone is interested at that time. Let Mrs. Carey or Pam Keilers know by Tuesday, February 2nd if you plan to help. If you have any questions, call Pam Keilers at 249-6857.

v  Come work the 1st Annual Health Fair at LHS onMarch 5th. Sign up for the date in Rm 304. More details about time to come.

v  NHS members - Don't forget your required candy for the spring sale. All members must bring one bag of chocolate and one bag of other. Any bags over the two required will be counted toward bought hours. Baggers are now needed before or after school.

v  Campus cleanup calendar is now available in Mrs. Carey's room. Don't forget to sign up for ONE campus cleanup this semester.
