Contract: 12 months fixed term – subject to funding
Salary £11,362 pa (£28,404pro rata) NJC Scale range 28-30
inc LW + pension and other benefits
Hours14 hours per week excluding breaks, including 6 hours every Sunday with flexibility regarding which days the remaining hours are worked.
Annual Leave:33 days pro rata per annum including bank/public holidays
Notice Period:4 weeks

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Home for Good exists to reduce the rate people with a history of homelessness return to the street.
HFG provides volunteer-powered resettlement support to former rough sleepers as they make the transition into new accommodation and a new community. The service is dedicated to preventing a return to the streets through tackling isolation and assisting each individual to develop networks of support.
The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for the delivery of the Home for Good (HFG) social club, incorporating a range of activities and support mechanisms for Passage clients who have been resettled into independent accommodation, including supporting clients and volunteers to prepare a weekly meal for the club.
The Project Co-ordinator will develop key working partnerships with a wide range of services in order to provide support to clients resettled into independent accommodation and develop the project.
MAIN TASKS
- To organise and host a weekly weekend social club, and a wide range of activities for former rough sleepers who have been resettled into independent accommodation.
- To help recruit, train and manage volunteers to assist in the running of the service.
- To develop working partnerships with a wide range of services and organisations which can offer appropriate support and opportunities to clients accessing the service.
- To liaise with internal and external partner agencies to attract appropriate client referrals onto the service.
- To encourage client participation and engagement in a psychologically informed manner at the project, in the community and in The Passage.
- To facilitate the development of support networks for clients who have been resettled into independent accommodation.
- Ensure access to a large volunteer base through developing close working relationships with a diverse range of voluntary, community and faith-based groups supportive of the project.
- To keep appropriate and accessible records of referrals and attendance of both clients and volunteers.
- Promote positive working relationships within the team, with clients and with outside agencies
- To accurately record all relevant information regarding incidents and provide a full timely hand-over
- To ensure appropriate records are completed by clients as appropriate
- To perform administrative tasks as required such as operating the petty cash system
- To complete regular project reports and progress updates for the project funders
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- In conjunction with your Line Manager to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
- To participate in internal/external meetings as required, and attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
- To participate in regular supervision and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
- To ensure that all The Passage policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Health and Safety, Code of Practice and Confidentiality. To ensure a safe and secure environment and undertake risk assessments with regular client reviews.
- To contribute to the effective implementation of The Passage’s Diversity and Equality Policy and Safeguarding Policy as it affects both The Passageand its work with vulnerable adults.
- To at all times undertake your role in a professional manner maintaining a high quality standard of work, and to always work in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of The Passage[1].
- Undertake any other duties that may be required which are commensurate with the role.

E1:Experience of homelessness support services, whether as a client, volunteer or employee
E2: Experience of facilitating group activities

KNOWLEDGE
K1:Understanding of the issues faced by homeless and adults at risk, and of the wide range of services in place to address these.
K2:Understanding of the challenges of former rough sleepers moving into accommodation, of the barriers they might face to community integration, and of the mechanisms of support available to prevent tenancy abandonment.
K3:Knowledge of Psychologically Informed ways of working
K4:Able to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures.
K5:Knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety and anti-discriminatory working practices, and the implications of both in the working environment.
K6:Understanding of the importance of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
K7: Awareness of Food Hygiene Standards and a willingness to complete relevant Food Hygiene Course.
