Come and see the many new items the Society has added to its collection including never before seen papers and notes from Freeman Leigh, who lived in Fairmount and wrote Historic Notes on Fairmount, NJ, many tools and artifacts donated by former Society President David Jeffrey’s family, original desks from the Farmersville School, deeds, birth and death records and much more. Our 2009 Open House was so successful we decided to do it again, this year in lieu of a formal March meeting and program.

MEMBERSHIP

Many of you have not yet renewed your membership; if you haven’t, please renew today. A reminder call will be made by March 31 to those who haven’t.

WORK DAYS

We will be holding workdays on: Saturday March 13

Saturday, April 10

All from 9 am to Noon except March 20 which will go to 4 pm to set-up for the Open House. If you can lend a couple of hours on any of the above dates we need you. Please call ahead to Headquarters to let us know if you can help.

GARDEN TOUR

The planning for the June Garden Tour has begun. Miller Craig, garden tour chairman, is still looking for gardens so if you have one you’d like considered for the tour or know of one please call Miller at 908-439-2447. The tour date will be Saturday, June 12 from 12 Noon to 4 pm, rain or shine. Tickets will be available for sale after May 5th.
