Reaching Out to Share Signals with Colleagues in Real-Time

9:35a.m. BST Thursday, September10, 2015

Telford International Centre, UK

Find out how remote collaboration can help overcome nondestructive testing (NDT) skills shortages and improve productivity at this free seminar, which is one of a series of talks by experts from GE Measurement & Control at the Materials Testing 2015 exhibition.

Alan Hunscott, technical support manager at GE, will be speaking about the benefits of GE’s InspectionWorks Connect system, which allows NDT professionals to access live video and data from inspections being carried out by their colleagues in other locations.

“Remote collaboration is the future of NDT,” says Hunscott. “With many senior practitioners approaching retirement, it allows highly skilled inspectors to support less experienced colleagues in the field and to share their expertise to help develop the next generation of NDT professionals. It can also be used to provide an expert second opinion during critical inspections or those in remote locations.”

Designing Your Own EC/UT Instrument
