Dear Parents/Guardians:

The Normandy Invader Marching Band is pleased to offer area students in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade an opportunity to come and be a part of “Future Invader” Night at Byer’s Field on October 8, 2015.

This letter is regarding those students who might enjoy cheering on our football team with the Normandy Dazzlers. If your son/daughter would enjoy this experience—we invite them to attend our practice at Normandy High School from 4:00 PM-5:30 PM on Wednesday, October 7th. Students should be dropped off on the band hill to the left of NHS when facing the building. Students are to be picked up in front of Normandy at 5:30 PM on the 7th after our practice. Parents are also welcome to stay at the practice and watch the band and Dazzlers if they would like to do so!

While at the practice on October 7th, your son/daughter will learn some of our “stand dances” and get to watch the team practice with the Normandy Invader Marching Band for the Thursday game.

The following day, students should arrive to Byer’s Field at 6:15 PM (Thursday). Participants can stand with Coach Greene on the track as the team performs the pre-game show and will then go with us to the stands for “stand dances” during the game. Students will get to go with Coach Greene to watch the half-time show from the track. After the show, students should sit with THEIR PARENTS OR GUARDIANS during the third quarter of the game (immediately after half time) and then return to cheer with the Dazzlers in the stands during the fourth quarter.

Parents/Guardians are expected to remain AT THE GAME with students who are participating. J

There is no cost to be a part of this “Future Invader” night—but we are offering unisex long-sleeved “Dazzlers Rock the House” t-shirts for sale in our Gearin’ Up NIMB Spirit Store that can be worn the night of the game. If you would like to purchase a shirt for your son/daughter—they are $15.00 and can only be ordered online at:

The final date that a shirt can be purchased is: SEPTEMBER 27, 2015

Late orders will not be processed. Shirts can be personalized for an additional $7.00 with your student’s name/nickname on the back of the shirt! J You will see this on the online order form.

Current Dazzlers/parents/teachers/etc. are also welcome to order a shirt to support our team!

Shirts will be delivered to Normandy by October 7th, 2015 and will be passed out to students at the practice that evening. Mrs. Greene can deliver any remaining t-shirts to teachers/etc. on October 8th.

Parents or guardians—please complete the attached permission form and send it with your child to the October 7th practice. Students will not be permitted to attend the practice/participate in the “Future Invader” event without a signed permission form on October 7th! Don’t forget to order your shirt by September 27th – and we look forward to meeting your son/daughter at the practice!
