Step 3: Assessment

  1. After you have completed the Notecards on Aspects of Culture, create a MATRIX and attach a visual (you can use pictures from template or find your own) of each aspect of Etruscan and Greek culture in the column you think is appropriate. Write a one-sentence justification for the placement of each aspect. (16 pts.)
  1. Create a PLACARD promoting the Aspect of Culture that MOST GREATLY INFLUENCED ancient Roman civilization. (Follow the RUBRIC to ensure focus.) Your placard should include: A title, description of the aspect, visuals of the aspect, ways in which it was used in Roman civilization, and a personal response discussing why it was the most important influence. (20 pts.)
  1. Identification – Students will examine images of four scenes from Rome and try to determine the Etruscan and Greek influences depicted and implied. This will be done using the SmartBoard and a written evaluation. (20 pts.)
