Harrisonburg High School After PromRules and Regulations

  1. After Prom will be held at James Madison University UREC, 701 Driver Drive, Harrisonburg, VA from 12:00a.m. until 2:30 a.m., following the HHS Prom on May 20, 2018.
  2. It is advised that after you leave the prom, you change and then return for After Prom. There will not be secure areas to store personal items, except for the front desk, where all bags will be checked in and monitored by volunteers. Swim suits, towels, footwear will be allowed in the locker rooms.
  3. Everyone attending After Prom is required to be there BY 1:00 a.m.
  4. Media content from the event may appear on social media sites and/or used for PR events by donating/participating businesses/sponsors.
  5. Your parent will be notified if you have bought tickets and do not arrive or if you leave before 2:30am.
  6. Any HHS Junior or Senior and his/her date with a pre-purchased ticket may attend After Prom. Jr/Sr HHS students DO NOT have to attend Prom to attend After Prom. However, if the student did not attend the Prom, he/she may only bring a date, who is a HHS Junior or Senior (and eligible to attend anyway). No underclassmen (Sophomore/Freshman) are able to attend After Prom unless they attended Prom as a date of a Junior or Senior.
  7. All students must CHECK in & CHECK out of After Prom. Anyone signing out or leaving will not be readmitted. Chaperones are not responsible after students leave After Prom.
  8. Tickets are $5 per person and will be sold in the libraryby Mr. Walton,all day beginning, Monday, May 7th until Friday May 18th, 2018. Students MUST present their three signed formsbefore purchasing After Prom tickets any day of school before After Prom.
  9. NO ALCOHOL, DRUGS, or SMOKING are permitted during After Prom. Additionally, no open containers will be allowed into After Prom facility. Parents will be notified to come and take home any impaired student. No gum and no glitter, per UREC.
  10. Lockers are available for use if the student provides their own lock.
  11. All HHS School rules apply to students attending After Prom. If a student was asked to leave the Prom, he/she will not be admitted to After Prom, with no refund given.
  12. Dress is casual and appropriate, following the school dress code. Only athletic shoes are allowed on the basketball courts.Appropriate swim attire and towel required for pool.
  13. To reach someone during After Prom, the number to call is 540-820-2073. A parent volunteer will answer these numbers during After Prom, from 12:00-3 a.m.
  14. After Prom Committee/ James Madison University URec are not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen items before, during or after the event.
