- Lesson Plan Template
- Review:
- Notes from January meeting on what should be in lesson plans to increase the likelihood that students will engage in higher order thinking, inquiry, and demonstrate the CCSS.
- Lesson plan templates from ISA schools and other templates
- ISA tools on non-cognitive skills for college
- Come to consensus on what should be in a lesson plan template to increase the likelihood that the lesson will provide students with experiences with the CCSS, inquiry, higher order thinking, and non-cognitive skills students will need for college
- Design/adapt a lesson plan template that incorporates these features
- Be sure to check for the following:
- How does the template ensure that questions are those that the teacher will actually ask?
- How does the template ensure that the activities and worksheets are those that the teacher will actually use?
- How does the template ensure that the teacher is conscious of the learning opportunities for students to demonstrate inquiry and/or higher order thinking, and/or CCSS, and/or non-cognitive skills?
- Give Faith the template

Protocol:
- Presenting coach identifies the outcome he/she wants/wanted to achieve in the situation,
- Presenting coach tells the story in which the problem is embedded,
- Colleagues ask questions for clarification or more information,
- Presenting coach states his/her analysis of the problem, linking analysis to evidence,
- Colleagues may offer alternate analyses of the problem linking to evidence in the story,
- Using evidence, group discusses the validity of different analyses of the problem,
- Group offers solutions linked to the analyses of the problem.
