Meeting #1, May 19, 2005

7:05 P.M. the meeting commenced.

Ellen announced that both swim and dive team championships will be held at the College of New Jersey this year.

Requests for ribbons are due at this meeting.

The evening’s agenda was approved.

Miry Run is no longer a swim team, so the alignment needs to change.

Treasurer’s report:

Our expenses should be considerably less than last year. Our rental fees for the College of New Jersey are approximately half of what we paid to rent the Rutgers facility.

Dual meet season:

Jim Devlin proposed a new alignment. Nassau and Lawrenceville will move to Division II and Ben Franklin will move to Division I. The alignment was approved.

Jim Devlin announced that coaches can download the spreadsheets under the “meet forms” title on the website.

The order of events for coaches and officials are available on these documents.

Community Park: six lanes, home swims even

West Windsor: not present

Cranbury: six lanes, home swims odd

Flemington-Raritan: six lanes, home swims even

Hamilton (Steinert): six lanes, home swims odd

Ben Franlin: six lanes, home swims even

Nassau: six lanes for 10 and unders Home swims even

Four lanes for eleven and overs. Home swims even

Lawrenceville: six lanes, home swims odd

Brooktree: six lanes, home swims odd. No diving blocks.

Coaches: swim rosters are due Monday, June 27 at 9:00.

Swimmers can be added until Friday, July 8.

Diving:

Peggy Feuerstein is the diving liaison. She announced the two divisions of diving;

Division I:

Ben Franklin, West Windsor, Community Park, Flemington-Raritan and Cranbury

Division II:

Lawrenceville, Hopewell Valley Golf, Penn Brook and Nassau

There will be a dive clinic held at Lawrenceville on Saturday, June 18 at 9:00.

Official’s Clinics:

There will be several official’s clinics held this year. Jeff Mace encourages as many people to attend as is possible.

Hopewell Valley Golf: Saturday, June 4 9:00

Monday, June 20 at 6:30

Nassau: Saturday, June 11 9:00

Lenape: Thursday, June 16 6:30

Community Park: Monday, June 13 at 6:30

Championships:

Diving championships will be held on July 20 at College of New Jersey

Swimming championships will be July 26 at College of New Jersey.

Ellen needs to know if entries will be paper or disc at the June 15 meeting. Paper entries are due July 11. Disc entries are due July 14. If you are entering electronically, please check the BeSmartt website for timing assignments.

Old Business:

Jim Devlin needs team contact information as soon as possible.

West Windsor mini meet is not happening this year.

100 yard opens at Championships are a possibility.
