Sports News:

·  Congratulations to the girls’ tennis team on their team victory over Statesvilleon Monday.

Singles winners were Ritu Hasalia, Alexandra Dawes, Allison Sears, and Sara Heiligenthaler. In Doubles, Brianna Collins and Jessie Casimir were victorious as well. Great job girls!

·  There will be a mandatory baseball meeting at3:15 on Thursdayfor all students interested in trying-out for baseball in the spring. Make every effort to be in coach Stalnaker's room as close to3:15as possible.

Club News:

·  Model UN, a club for students wanting to learn more about international relations, will be meeting Thursday at 7:45amin room N-102 (Ms. Papaj's room). If you are interested but cannot attend, please go see Ms. Papaj.

·  There will be a meeting onSeptember 27for the International Club. Please meet in FL #5, Mrs. Estes' room. We will meet from3:30-4:00. This is a planning meeting, so please come with your input. Would you like to cook every month, or go out to eat at a foreign restaurant together every month? If you like to eat, and can spare oneFridaya month; this is the club for you.

Other:

·  All students interested in traveling to France & Spain during spring break 2015 - there will be an informational meetingFridayduring advisory in FL 1. Please see Mrs, Di byThursdayto sign up & get a pass.

·  The Student Council is looking for volunteers to walk behind the Homecoming Parade onOctober 16thto pick up trash and decorations. Please see Ms. Edmonds in Room N-101 if you are interested in volunteering.

·  South Iredell will sponsor a representative for the Carolina's Carrousel parade scholarship program. This is an application process and is open to senior girls only who hold a gpa of 3.5 or higher and have no discipline.
