i)  Polo TIF District

In February 2008 the Polo School District and the City of Polo entered into an Intergovernmental agreement concerning the reimbursement of monies from the TIF District.

Each year during the term of this Agreement, the City shall pay the school district from the real estate increment created by any development or increase in the equalized assessed valuation within the TIF District a sum equal to the annual calculation of the formula applicable to the School District. The current percent the District receives is 22.343%. Last year the percentage was 20.86%.

The payments have been as follows:

i)  Consideration and action on a Resolutionabating the working cash fund of Community Unit School District Number222, Ogle, Lee and Whiteside Counties, Illinois.

ii)  Consideration and action on a Resolutionproviding for the issue of $650,000 Taxable General Obligation School Bonds, Series2017, of theCommunity Unit School District Number222, Ogle, Lee and Whiteside Counties, Illinois for the purpose of increasing the Working Cash Fund of said School District, providing for the levy of a direct annual tax sufficient to pay the principal and interest on said bonds, and authorizing the sale of said bonds to the purchaser thereof.

iii)  Personnel (Policy 5:30).

(1)  Maternity Leave (Policy 5:185)

(a)  Julie Sanders – Julie’s due date is May 4, 2017. She will use the remainder of the year as maternity leave.

(b)  Janet Folk – Janet Folk’s maternity leave will begin January 30 and will use 8 weeks of maternity leave. Melydi has a long term substitute already. She will be using Jodi Merrell for this position.

(2)  Employee Substitute Bus Driver

(a)  Trish Bolen –Trish has completed all the requirements for a bus driver.

(3)  Volunteer Baseball Coaches

c)  Closed Sessions for review of minutes.

i)  There were 3 executive sessions from July 1 thru December 31, 2016. I would recommend that we leave all previous executive session minutes closed. I would propose we destroy the recorded tapes of executive session through June 30, 2015.

ii)  We will only need to have this session if you want to review the minutes.
