Software serial number

We strongly recommend using the following Alpha Pro 2.0, TELE 2.2 and TELE 2.2 Info software quick installation method (for Windows 2000/XP).

Step 1. Insert the video card (if it is part of the package) in the computer slot. Do not insert the USB-key yet. Start the computer and wait until Windows loads.

Step 2. When a new device dialog window appears, press Cancel.

Step 3. Insert the software CD-ROM into computer CD or DVD drive.

Step 4. When autostart window appears, press Cancel.

Step 5. From the Desktop, open My Computer. Right-click on the CD drive icon with TELE software and select Open.

Step 6. Next, in CD-ROM open TolkenPro folder and double-click RTE_3.65 file, or right-click on it and select Install.

Step 7. Install eToken software – click Next.

When the installation is completed, press Finish.

Step 8. Only after eToken software installation is complete you should insert the USB-key into the computer and wait till Windows automatically finds the drivers for USB Token device (this should take about a minute).

A led will light up on the USB-key and a new USB Token device will appear in Device Manager.

Step 9. From the Desktop, open My Computer. Double-click on the CD drive icon with TELE software, or right-click on it and select AutoPlay.

Step 10. When autostart window appears, choose the USB-key number from “Please select your key number:” dropdown list.

After the key number is selected, OK button will become available.

Please verify that the supplied software matches the required package and your video card:

stream2 Stream Alpha Plus or Component (PCI bus)

stream3 Stream Alpha SDI (PCI bus)

stream4 Stream Alpha Plus PCI-E (PCI-Express bus)

stream5 Stream WIND SDI (PCI bus)

Alpha Pro Alpha Pro software only

TELE Alpha Pro software and TELE automation system

TELE Info Alpha Pro, TELE automation system and an additional TELE Infochannel module

and press OK.

Step 11. When installation starts, a Welcome window will appear on Alpha Pro Setup background. This window contains information about the version and specifications of the installed program. Verify this and press Next.

Step 12. In the next dialog window you can indicate the location and folder name where the software will be installed. We recommend using ‘alphapro’ folder on drive C:\. After setting the program location press Next.

Step 13. Next, a Hardware Installation window appears, which notifies that the driver is not Microsoft certified. Press Continue Anyway.

If this window does not appear, continue the installation and after it is finished reinstall the video card or Video Controller device driver manually from ‘drivers’ subfolder located in the program installation folder (C:\alphapro\drivers by default).

Step 14. Complete the software installation – press Finished.

Step 15. Next, load Alpha Pro application only. For this, click Start > Programs > Alpha Pro > Alpha pro.

Step 16. If analogous software was never installed on your computer earlier, an Activation window will appear.

If you’re installing the software on a computer where analogous software was installed before, please see the detailed manual Activation.pdf and FAQ2006 (Eng).pdf located on software CD-ROM in ‘Doc’ folder.

In CD-ROM root directory or in ‘Setup’ folder open “Serial Number Gnnn” file (where Gnnn is your USB-key number) with text editor (Notepad).

Copy the serial number from the editor.

Paste the serial number in the relevant field in activation window and press Activate.

If your computer is connected to the Internet, Alpha Pro application window will appear shortly.

If your computer is not connected to the Internet, the Activation program will report an error. In this case, you should continue the activation process manually according to Activation.pdf manual located on CD-ROM in root directory or in ‘Setup’ folder.

Step 17. We recommend to verify the Alpha Pro program operability right away. For this, load the demo script, which is automatically installed during the installation.

You can display this script on television screen by pressing the play button first ► and then releasing the pause button ▌▌.

After you complete testing make sure to press the stop button twice ■.

Step 18. If TELE application is part of your package, then you should at this point test the loading of this program by clicking Start > Programs > Alpha Pro > TELE Scheduler.

After a while VideoPlayer application window will appear.

Then TELE application window will appear with initial schedule for the current day. Red changing digits should be showing the current system time.

Exiting the programs should be done in reverse way: first close TELE window, then VideoPlayer, and last – Alpha Pro.

Step 19. We suggest verifying the TELE application operability. For this, copy the clip files from CD-ROM ‘tele_avi’ folder onto your hard drive and drag them one by one from a folder on your hard drive into TELE schedule (the clips will automatically be registered in Inbox folder).

Then select the first clip in the schedule (its row will turn blue) and press Space. The clip should be playing on television screen. In the schedule row of the clip red changing digits indicating the playback time left will appear.
