Job Title:Care Services Manager

Location:36 Park Street, Lincoln. LN1 1UQ

Hours of work:35 hours per week

Responsible to:Operations Director

Job Purpose Summary:

Responsible for the efficient running, growth and development of Age UK Lincoln & Kesteven’sCare Services (Day Support Services and Personal Care Services). To manage a team of office staff and teams of carers. To ensure the continuity and high standard of care provided to people who use the services, ensuring the service meets the Essential Standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading, building and developing the team, setting targets and objectives and evaluating performance
  • Recruitment, selection, training and effective support of Care Staff
  • Ensure the growth and development of CareServices across the operating area
  • Become the Registered Care Services Manager and hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
  • Managing and directing staff in a fast paced environment
  • Overseeing the administration team in maintaining accurate administrative systems, ensuring that all computerised and manual records are up to date, accurate and well maintained
  • Ensuring the training needs of all Care Service staff are met effectively and identify, through supervision, any ongoing training needs and ensuring the organisation’srequirements are maintained
  • Provide cover for absent colleagues, to ensure the smooth operation of the service, including out of hours if required
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed and standards are maintained.
  • Ensure all Adult Safeguarding/protection requirements are adhered to and met and regularly reviewed to ensure compliance
  • Maintain, update and monitor quality control systems
  • Provide reports to the Operations Director and/or CEO as requested
  • Set, monitor and work within agreed budgets
