Objective I: Increase Membership by 5 percent.

Date: September 2014 – June 2015

Who: Nicholas Gentile, Communications Secretary; Destini Clark, President; Tom Schlindwein, Treasurer; Paul Averhart, Central Region Vice President; Maddy Grant, Recording Secretary; Brendan Kelley, Southern Region Vice President; Alex Formichella, Northern Region Vice President.

Goals:

a.  Help already established chapters improve their membership.

b.  Promote the creation of new DECA chapters in schools throughout the state.

c.  Use social media resources to increase the awareness of NJ DECA.

Procedures:

a.  Have NJ State Action Team visit local chapters and promote joining their DECA chapter.

b.  Use our social media accounts during “DECA month” to promote NJ DECA.

c.  Award DECA chapters with the highest membership numbers in each region.

d.  Create a promotional video to promote NJ DECA to leaders statewide.

Objective II: Ensure that DECA Dimensions is finished and released on time, while also distributing it to as many NJ DECA members as possible.

Date: September 2014 – June 2015

Goals:

a.  Create two successful issues of DECA Dimensions

b.  Create and distribute both issues on time

c.  Distribute issues to even more NJ DECA members than ever before

Procedures:

a.  Assign article topics to each member of State Action Team.

b.  Set specific dates to when all articles must be finished.

c.  Allow time for issue to be printed.

d.  Distribute DECA dimensions to all schools with DECA chapters

Objective III: Increase Communication between State Action team and New Jersey DECA members.

Date: September 2014 – June 2015

Goals:

a.  Maintain communication with local chapters and their members.

b.  Create availability for NJ DECA members to share their ideas and thoughts with the NJ State Action Team.

c.  Host monthly Google Hangouts.

d.  Establish Social Media Correspondent program.

Procedures:

a.  Promote the State Officer’s availability to schools and chapters.

b.  Allow local chapters to share their DECA stories through social media and DECA Dimensions.

c.  Maintain all social media accounts.

Objective IV: Utilize social media resources to promote NJ DECA and get members excited about the State CDC.

Date: September 2014 – June 2015

b.  Increase number of followers on all accounts.

c.  Feature outstanding chapters and members on our social media accounts.

Procedures:

a.  Stay active on all social media accounts by posting once every weeks.

b.  Award outstanding chapters and members by featuring them on social media accounts, using #WayToGoWenesday.

c.  Use the #TipTuesday to give our members reminders that there’s always ways to be sharpening your DECA skills.
