To support efficient running of library operations in Kolkata .

We operate through centres in New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai. In partnership with the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, we run libraries in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, and Pune. We engage with over 20,000 people every year through our English language centres in Chennai, Kolkata and New Delhi.
The Executive Library and Information Services in East India will provide the library team with operations and marketing support.
Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
(including people management and finance)
To provide support in delivery of library programmes activity as per agreed policy
- Processing of over books, CDs, journals, DVDs ,audio books ,newspapers etc annually as per agreed timelines and standards .Recording of bibliographic data as per standards
-Maintaining inventory of library books,DVDS and other materials in offsite and onsite storage on a day to day basis
-Coordinating dispatch and delivery of library materials from offsite/ inhouse storage area on a regular basis
-Stock editing and disposal of withdrawn stock periodically as per agreed policy. Maintaining all records as per guidelines for the same.
--Maintaining invoices and other documents for new books etc as per audit standards
Marketing and Customer relations
-Setting up regular promotional displays in the library and at external venues as and when required.
-Organising delivery of books and other materials to schools in East India for reading projects.
-Handling customer enquiries related to library services and products as and when required.
-Participating in internal and external events and marketing campaigns as and when required.
To provide other operations support
--Maintaining inventory of library stationery items and coordinating with vendors for procurement of the same as and when required
-Raising departmental purchase orders on SAP and maintaining records as per audit standards
