An Assigned Commissioner Ruling dated August 9 directs PG&E, SCE, and SDG&E to propose demand response augmentations and improvements for the purpose of increasing the amount of demand response by 2007. Those proposals are due by August 30. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the utility proposals and to get additional input from other parties.

Workshop – California Solar Initiative Program Handbook (R.06-03-004)

The purpose of the workshop is to begin development of the program handbook for the California Solar Initiative (CSI). The new CSI handbook will combine information from existing solar program handbooks – the Emerging Renewables Program Guidebook and the Self Generation Incentive Program handbook. It will also include new implementation guidance to reflect the Commission’s August 24, 2006 CSI order. Following creation of subgroups to work on various handbook topics, the handbook workshop process will culminate in a draft CSI Handbook which will be submitted to the Assigned Administrative Law Judge and issued for public comment. An agenda will distributed electronically prior to the workshop. This workshop will not be transcribed.

Securing Clean and Affordable Water: A Symposium

The members from the California Public Utilities Commission, the California Department of Health Services, the State Water Resources Control Board, and the Department of Water Resources, as well as other state representatives, will discuss current water quality standards, water quality technologies, public-private partnerships to increase water utility viability, and options for accessing clean and affordable water, as well as other related events and topics of joint interest. There will also be a tutorial on financing alternatives for private water utilities offered by the Department of Health Services prior to the symposium. No decisions will be made at this public meeting.
