· LETTER OF INTENT: Please write one to two pages describing your interest in and experience with animals. Please include the following in the letter:
o What factors have led you to want to become a veterinarian?
o What contributions can a veterinarian make to the development of agriculture in Liberia?
o Describe all positions (voluntary or paid) that have helped you learn about animals.
o Describe any courses you have taken with direct relevance to animal science.

PLEASE NOTE:
- Availability of scholarships is contingent upon sufficient funding from USAID;
- USAID reserves the right to direct candidates in choosing their intended areas of research, according to the Feed the Future objectives for that country (http://www.feedthefuture.gov/countries);
- Only short-listed candidates will be notified and contacted for interviews;
- Shortlisted candidates must take an English language test (paid for by BHEARD), which will be used in the selection process;
