A SENSATIONAL BLIND MURDER CASE OF PS SHAHDARA WORKED OUT.
With the arrest of Mohd. Zafar s/o- Kamaruddin r/o- Laxmi Garden, Indrapuri, Loni, UP , North East Distt. police has solved a sensational blind murder case of PS Shahdara, Delhi.
INCIDENT
On 13/05/10 at about 7.56 PM an information vide DD No. 23A was received at P.S. Shahdara that a person having knife(sharp) injuries is lying on Shahdara flyover carriage way towards Ghaziabad . The DD entry was entrusted to ASI Rajkumar P.S. Shahdara who along with staff reached at the spot and Inspr. Omvir Singh, Inspr. Investigation, PS Shahdara alongwith the staff also rushed to GTB Hospital and received the MLC No. B-2137/10 of unknown male person having sharp edged injuries on his neck and chest who was declared as brought dead. Meantime the deceased was identified as Harkesh s/o Shishpal r/o Village- Raghupura, Meena Thakur Ka Mohalla, Distt. Gautam Budh Nagar, UP. There was no eye witness on the spot and on the basis of DD entry a case vide FIR No 279/10 dated 13/05/10 u/s 302 IPC was registered at P.S Shahdara and taken up for investigation.
As it was a blind murder case , nobody from the place of occurrence came forward to give any clue about the culprits. So many criminals of the area were interrogated but no fruitful information could be received. During course of investigation the family members of deceased were also interrogated but nothing tangible came out.
In what may be termed as excellent intelligence collection and brilliant piece of ground work, police officials have arrested one of the accused of this murder case namely Mohd. Zafar s/o- Kamaruddin r/o- Laxmi Garden, Indrapuri, Loni, UP who has disclosed that on 13.5.10 he alongwith his associates namely Riyaz s/o- Liyakat Ali r/o- Laxmi Garden, Indrapuri, Loni, UP, Imran @ Kalia and Kadir both residents of Laxmi Garden, Indrapuri, Loni, UP had tried to rob the deceased rikshaw puller who was carrying Jeans pants in his rikshaw but the rikshaw pullar restrained, hence they gave sharp edged injuries to him and ran away from the spot.
PROFILE
He was born in Indrapuri, Loni, UP. He is very active member of his gang of robbers. He is actively involved in recce the targets. His other associates have previously been involved in many cases of road robberies. He is 25 year old, married and studied up to 5th class.

LEADER OF “TRICHI” GANG, A NOTORIOUS BAG LIFTER, ALONG WITH ONE ASSOCIATE ARRESTED: ABOUT 100 CASES OF BAG LIFTING REPORTED IN DELHI AND NCR IN RECENT PAST SOLVED: TWO LAPTOPS AND THREE EXPENSIVE MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED
South District Police has arrested two desperate bag lifters of infamous “TRICHI” gang including gang leader, who are involved in about 100 cases of bag lifting in Delhi and NCR. Two laptops, three expensive mobile phones stolen/snatched and several other stolen articles have been recovered from their possession/ instance.
ACCUSED APPREHENDED ARE:
1. Mohan @ Maggu age-35 years S/O Manikaran, R/O Village – Konarkullam, PS- Poddar, Disstt.- Tirchapalli, Tamilnaidu.
2. Kumresh age-34 years S/O Ram Chandran R/O HN-205, Mill Colony, PS Solo Nagar, Tirchi, Tamilnaidu.
TEAM AND INCIDENT:
In the recent past, several cases of bag lifting from inside the cars by breaking the window glasses of vehicles and by spreading the 10 or 20 rupees notes near the car were reported all over Delhi and NCR. In order to prevent these incidents and nab the criminals involved in these cases, several teams were constituted. A joint team of Special Staff, South District and PS Safdar Jung Enclave consisting of SI’s Jeet Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Sanjay Sharma, ASI’s Gyanender Singh, Ashok Kumar, HCs Phool Singh, Premjeet Singh, Ram Kishan, Hawa Singh, Rajesh, Bhoop Singh, Manoj, Ashok, Shiv Kumar, Shailesh, Satish and Sheo Ram, Cts, Raghubir, Avdesh and Sukhpal was formed under the supervision of Inspector Vijay Singh, I/C Special Staff and overall supervision of Sh. Rishi Pal Singh Add. DCP South was formed to develop the information and apprehend the accused. The team worked relentlessly and collected details of several criminals with similar modus-operandi. It came to fore that the members of “TRICHI” gang might be
involved in these incidents. The hard work of above team bore results and specific information was received on 03.06.10 that the leader of this gang along with associates would come at Kamal Cinema in order to commit theft. The team so formed laid trap on 03.06.10 near Kamal Cinema, and apprehended above noted accused persons while they were roaming in the area in order to commit theft. Both accused persons were arrested vide FIR No.87/10 u/s 379 IPC PS Safdar Jung Enclave Delhi.
INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDAI:
During sustained interrogation, accused Mohan @ Maggu disclosed that he has 6/7 members in his gang and he along with his associates operating in Delhi and nearby area like Gurgaon, Noida, and Ghaziabad etc. They mainly targeted the vehicles parked in the parking or road side or vehicles in which driver sitting inside. They break down window glasses of vehicle and took away the bag or laptop and other valuable items from inside the car in a very short span of time and used to pass the stolen items to the other members of their gang who keep standing nearby the place of incident. Their modous operandi is unique as they break down the window glass of vehicle and open the door from inside and due to this the anti auto theft devices of vehicle were not able to track down their movement and they stolen the precious articles from inside the car.
They also adopted another modus opreandi that one of gang member put 5/6 notes of ten or twenty rupees note near the car in which driver is sitting inside, the other member ask the driver of the car regarding rupees fallen outside the car when driver of the car picks the notes from ground, the other member of gang who is a 10 or 12 year old boys lift the bag or valuables from inside the car and passed the same to the other members and all members immediately leave the place.
PROFILE:
Accused Mohan @ Maggu was born in his native village in 1975. He studied up to class 8th in his village school. He belong to a specific tribe who involved in bag lifting so he started committing bag lifting in his early age. He came to Delhi with the members of his community and committed crime. He is so smart and clever that he became very efficient in his job and become a necessary part of his gang. He was arrested by the Delhi Police in 2004 and he remained in jail up to six months and released on bail. After release on bail he became more desperate and formed his own gang with the name of “TRICHI GANG” and started committing bag lifting in Delhi and NCR. He took a rented house in Delhi and sent his gang member by train and he himself came to Delhi by Air and after committing spate of bag lifting in Delhi and NCR he sent back his gang members by train and after disposing the stolen articles he
went back to his native village by Air. He was arrested by the police officials of Special Staff South in 2006 in NDPS Act case. He remained in jail only 20 days and managed to get bail, after released on bail he never attended the court and he is running PO in many cases. After 2006 he never arrested by any Police though his 4 associates were arrested by the officials of Special Staff South in 2009 and large number of stolen goods were recovered from their possession but he was managed to escape at that time.
Accused Kumersh was born in 1976 in his native village and he also belongs to same community. He started committing crime with Mohan @ Maggu in his early age and became the active member of his gang. He has second position in “TRICHI GANG” after Mohan @ Maggu.
