  1. Contestants mustlive in Franklin County, a surrounding county, or within two hours of Franklin County. The residing county must not hold a fair pageant. Contestants must be of or between the following ages at the time of his/her local crowing (contestants whom are married or have children are eligible to compete in this division, regardless of age)
  • 23 years old & up
  1. Contestant must possess good moral character having never, at any time, been convicted of any crime nor have any criminal charges against her. Also must never have committed an act or engaged in any activity which is or could be characterized as dishonest, immoral, indecent, or in bad taste. This INCLUDES texting, use of the internet and all social media like, Facebook, and ANY other web pages or photo albums
  2. The pageant will be Saturday, September 8, 2018; exact times to be determined by participation. Please arrive early and be ready for the pageant to start. If you are unable to attend or will be late, please contact the director.
  3. All pageants will be held at Benjamin Franklin Middle School, located at 225 Middle School Rd. in Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
  4. Entry fee is $65, check or money order should be made payable to County of Franklin. The sponsor’s name will be printed in the pageant program.
  5. Entry fee includes one adult admission. Additional tickets can be purchased at the door: general admission, 16 & up $10.00; age 4-15 $5.00 and age 3 and under free.

  7. All applications and payments must be received by August 16, 2018.
  8. There will be an optional scheduled practice. Which will take place on September 7, 2018
  9. Contestant will compete in eveninggown. Contestants will model gown for two rounds. A dressing area will be designated for changing.
  10. Contestant and all accompanying members or guests will conduct themselves in a proper manner at ALL times. Any display of uncooperative or unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification of the contestant.
  11. Each contestant will receive a tiara and gift. Division winners will receive crown, sash, trophy and gift as deemed appropriate for each age group.
  12. First runner-up must be willing to assume all duties in the event that the winner is unable and/or unwilling to fulfill her reign.
  13. Professional photographer will be taking pictures during the pageant. Please remain on stage until a group and winning shot are captured. The photographer will also be available for individual pictures packages.
  14. All judges’ decisions are final.
  15. Any feedback must be submitted in writing to the pageant director within a timely manner after the pageant. NO scores will be given out the night of the pageant. You may contact the pageant director two weeks after the pageant for scores.

The Franklin County Agricultural Fair and all of its agents cannot be held responsible for accidents, injury, or loss of personal property relating to this event. I have read the entry form and agree to abide by the pageant rules. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

MEDIA RELEASE FORM: I hereby give my consent for the Franklin County Agricultural Fair’s/County of Franklin’s use of images, voice or likeness from video-tapes, photographs, motion picture film, electronic images and/or other technologies in which I and/or my minor child appear. Furthermore, I hereby consent that such photographs, films, recordings, electronic images and the film, slides, disks plates or tapes from which they are made shall be their property, and for appropriate organizational uses, including internet use.
