Sponsor’s Report
Gordon Johnson
/ Midwest Wholesale Lighting, represented by AMGC members, Larry Rosales and John Thies, is our Tournament Sponsor for the month of December.
Midwest Wholesale Lighting, also known as “The Lighting People,” is family-owned and has been in business for more than 48 years (specializing in lighting only). Midwest is one of the largest independent lighting distributors on the West Coast. The AMGC is grateful for the continued support that the Frandzel family (own and operate Midwest) has given to the Club. We gratefully anticipate welcoming a foursome of their choice again this year. Remember to thank both Larry and John of Midwest Lighting on Tournament Day for their generous sponsorship. Don’t forget “if you need lighting, you need Midwest Wholesale Lighting” – (323) 957 6013 (Direct line) and Larry and John can be contacted at (323) 957-6035. Happy Holidays from the Midwest Lighting family to all AMGC members and their families!

Tournament Report
Carl Fernandez
From my family to yours, have a safe and joyous Holiday Season!
Our November’s Member/Guest Tournament is now in the books and I hope those that participated had some fun with the format. Results have been posted in the breezeway. Next year we will have a Member/Member Flight.
Our Director’s Tournament was played at Soboba Springs this year and from the feedback looks like all had a great time. The Low Gross was John Jasso and Low Net was Dennis Boyd. 2 Man Blind draw winners were Dennis Boyd and Raul Troncoso. Special Thanks to DalHile, Ed Ciechoski, Dick Daley for all their help.
This month’s format is 2 Man Triple Crown. We will play three different formats. The first 6 holes will be a Scramble. Holes 7 thru 12 - Best Ball, and the final 6 holes will be Alternate shot. There will be some changes to the Alternate format this year. So please read the “Players Info” sheet that will be posted at the check-in table. If you need a partner, sign-up as a single and I will match you up with someone.
I would like to thank my Tournament Committee Members for the help this year and at the same time would like to invite other members to step up and volunteer their time and work on the Tournament Committee for 2015. Please see me or send me an email if you are interested.
Changes coming for “2015”:
- I am planning to increase our Tournament Entry Fee from $10 to $15. And at the same time, end our Club’s CTP subsidizing. CTP entry fee will now be $10. Total amount collected will be returned to the top four places.
- Once scorecard has been turned in, it is deem “OFFICIAL.”
- Only “Major” events will be posted as a “TOURNAMENT” round.
- Once your group has left the 1st Tee, you are deemed “LATE.”
- Cell Phones are NO longer acceptable during play.
Next month’s format will be an Individual Stroke, being played on the 18th. On January 25th, we will have our Champion of Champions Tournament.
