The Graduate Internship Schemeis a collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.
The Internship is a full-time position, for a 12 month fixed term period, based atCedrec Information Systems Ltd,Gateshead. A desired outcome is that both the candidate and the company opt to make these permanent positions at the end of the 12 months.
The Organisation:
Way back in 1994 saw the birth of The Comprehensive European Directory of Regulation on the Environment with Commentary. Its aim was to provide the organisations of England and Wales with accessible and understandable environmental legislation.
Fortunately, the name was also subjected to our simplifying ways, giving us Cedrec!
It was a big task for a small company based in a Sunderland Enterprise Park. Yet under the guidance of now Directors Gareth Billinghurst and Steven Armstrong, the concept took off.
The Role:
What you’ll do
Opportunity to join the writing department of an Environmental, Safety and Planning publishing company.
Working as part of a small team you’ll help to develop the online product to cover Republic of Ireland legislation, in addition to that of the UK. You will identify relevant legislation and guidance for all sectors of industry. This will then be summarised into plain English.
