1.Disconnect the battery cable

2.Remove the stock or after-market air cleaner, carburetor, and spacer. Be careful not allow any parts or material to fall into the open manifold.

3.Remove the stock carburetor attaching bolts from the manifold using two jam nuts on each stud or with a pair of locking pliers.

4.Carefully clean the carburetor mounting surface on the manifold (Porting the intake webbing is optional)

5.Lay the new gasket and the MY-SIDE adapter on the manifold.

6.Install the four longer 8 x 1.25 metric bolts into the manifold through the billet adapter and tighten as needed. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!

7.Place the large carburetor mounting bracket on the end of the MY-SIDE adapter and install four 1/4-20 x 5/8th” allen socket cap bolts.

8.Install the O-ring on the aluminum tube. Use a small amount of Vaseline or spit to wet the seal and twist into the billet adapter until seated. Place the rubber carburetor attachment boot on the aluminum tube and ease the carburetor into the boot, making sure that it seats fully and forms a good seal.

9.Apply a small amount of Permatex Gasket Maker on the edge of the carb. Do not allow any to enter the vent hole. Place small mounting bracket in place and install one 1/4-20 x 3/4” allen head socket cap screw in the carb to hold in place while you install the two 1/4-20 hex head bolts that hold the mounting brackets together.

10.Apply a small amount of Permatex gasket maker to the back side of the elbow adapter. Remove the temporary allen and reinsert through elbow adapter. Install two more 1/4-20 x 3/4” allen bolts. Tighten as needed. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!

11.Remove the 1/4-20 hex bolt on the bottom of the carb mounting brackets closest to the radiator. Place air filter support rod in place and reinsert 1/4-20 hex head bolt. Finger tighten.

13. Install “Power Adder” filter on elbow, place the tab from the air filter support rod under the clamp and tighten.

12.Connect the new 1/4” fuel line to the regulator and the fuel line from the regulator to the CV carb, secure hoses with new clamps. Set Regulator full ON to start.

VERY IMPORTANT: turn the regulator down IF bowl overfills after install!

13.Route and connect vacuum lines as needed. Unused vacuum ports must be plugged.

14. Using teflon tape or Permatex cover the threads of the brass barbed fittings, install into billet adapter. One fitting attaches to the water outlet at the rear of the intake. The other fitting attaches to the outlet on the water pump tube located behind the lower radiator hose outlet.

15. (See line 3 in Section 2 before proceeding) Route choke cable through firewall install knob in dash. You will have to disassemble cable to do this, please refer to modifying CV carb in Section 2.
