Finding Books

Check out ACE – http://library.evansville.edu - to find books at UE. Some topics will be slightly more successful than others. If you are frustrated with the lack of relevant search results (or results in general), please try WorldCat. WorldCat is a massive online catalog that has the contents of most academic, public, special and private libraries in America contained within it. It’s web address is http://firstsearch.oclc.org/timeout=1800;dbname=WorldCat;FSIP. Note: You must be connected to the campus network to access WorldCat.

Here are a couple resources particular to your class, Theatre History. They should help you begin your research.

Does UE Own that Journal?

Should you find an article that is perfect for your research and it is not full text, how do you determine if UE owns the journal?

1.  Check the JOURNAL LIST on the Libraries’ website.

2.  Use the index or do a quick search for the journal title

3.  If you cannot find a match, UE does not own it or have access to it. L Please fill out an Interlibrary Loan form (ILL) available online.

4.  If you do find a match, double check the years available, then select a link to the corresponding database. A new window will open and allow you to find that article directly.

If one of the options is University of Evansville Titles, that means the UE owns it. Clicking this option will take you to journal’s record on ACE (http://library.evansville.edu). This will tell you where you can find the journal and in what format (paper or microform).
