New Reporting Solution Launch - FAQs

Why has the reporting solution changed?

The old SAS reportswereoutdated, slow and often difficult to use. As an organisation we are relying on data more and more to identify how we improve the DofE Award Programme and reach more young people. We therefore feel that it is important to give our staff and our network access to data in a more effective and reliable way that is fit for purpose and simple to use.

What’s different about the new reporting solution?

In the new reporting solution, we have replicated the four standard reports that were available in SAS because feedback suggested that the data they contain is useful. However it should be much easier to select and change the required report filters and the reports themselves are much quicker to run. In addition the new reporting solution has been built using up to date Microsoft softwarethatis compatible with eDofE whichwill make it easier to maintain the four reports and develop new ones over time.

How do I access the new reporting solution?

The new reporting solution is accessed via eDofE in exactly the same way as the SAS reports were. Users with any of the roles listed below will have a ‘Reporting Suite’ button on the ‘Reports’ page of eDofE which will re-direct them to the reporting ‘Home’ page. It will not require a separate sign in or username and password.
