Note: This cruise has been specially designed to include members who do not have cruising boats. Those “land cruisers” should fill out the special registration form and send it with the appropriate fees to Judy and Cam Perrotta. The cruise packet distributed at the pre-cruise meeting on August 24 at 4 pm will include a list of accomodations and services at each destination.
Cruise Itinerary:
Tuesday, September 7, Port Ludlow
All cruisers will meet at the Marina at 3 pm for a demonstration on how to throw lines and tips on how to secure your boat at the dock. We will then retire to the Wreck Room at 5 pm for snacks, pizza, and a no-host bar. Cost for the pizza is $7 per person, payable with your registration fee.
Wednesday and Thursday, September 8 and 9, Bell Harbor Marina, Seattle
We will depart Port Ludlow on Wednesday morning and travel 29 nautical miles to Seattle’s Bell Harbor Marina. Wednesday afternoon will give cruisers a chance to visit the Pike Place Market and buy items for an antipasti spread with cocktails at 5 pm on the dock, then all cruisers are on their own for dinner and the rest of the evening. On Thursday, spend the day enjoying the city, then be back at Bell Harbor by 5 pm for snacks and cocktails and group dinner at the Asian restaurant, Wild Ginger or dinner on your own.
Friday, September 10, Des Moines Marina
We will meet on the dock at 6 pm for a book exchange, followed by a Bar-B-Que. Meat and condiments will be provided by your cruise directors with assigned pot luck sides and desserts provided by cruisers. There is a $5 per person fee for this event, payable with your registration fee.
Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12, Arabella’s Landing, Gig Harbor
On Saturday afternoon, those wanting to go shopping will be driven up to Chico’s. We will meet on the deck at the top of Arabella’s dock for snacks (provided by the cruise directors) and cocktails at 5 pm, then dinner on our own. Cruisers are on their own on Sunday until we meet for cocktails at 5 pm. Then we will walk up to Il Lucano Ristorante, an Italian restaurant popular with locals, for a special no-host supper especially prepared for us by chef/owner.
Monday, September 13, Bainbridge Island Marina
We will meet at 6 pm at the marina for cocktails and a dinner of pulled pork (provided by the cruise directors) with assigned pot luck sides and desserts provided by cruisers. There is no fee for this event.
Tuesday, September 14, Bremerton Marina
Cruisers can tour the historic U.S.S. Turner Joy, a retired Navy destroyer, during the afternoon, then meet at the dock at 5 pm for brief cocktails before walking up to Anthony’s to be seated by 5:45 for an early-bird dinner (approximately $18).
Wednesday and Thursday, September 15 and 16, Poulsbo Marina
Wednesday, after our nightly cocktails at 5 pm on the docks, a bus will take us to Clearwater Casino for a no-host dinner and a night of entertainment. On Thursday morning, we will meet in the marina’s floating party house for a continental breakfast provided by the cruise directors. During the day, we will play Poulsbo poker (to be explained at breakfast) with a prize for the cruiser with best poker hand. Thursday evening, we will meet for cocktails and pot-luck, clean-out-the-fridge appetizers at 5 pm, where the poker prize will be awarded. All cruisers will then be own their own for dinner.
Friday, September 17, Return to Port Ludlow
Pre-Cruise Meeting: A precruise meeting will be held at the Wreck Room on August 24 at 4 pm. Cruise packets will be distributed at that time.

Marina Arrangements: The cruise directors have reserved slips at each marina for the nights indicated above. For the nights of September 8 and 9, C Dock at Bell Harbor Marina has been reserved for PLYC. However, each boat needs to reserve its slip by calling Bell Harbor Marina and using a credit card to pay for the first night’s moorage as soon as possible. (Bell Harbor Marina will not refund the first night’s moorage if you cannot make it to the marina for any reason.) For all other marinas, you will need to register right away and pay the moorage fee upon arrival. Please call each marina and make reservations ASAP after sending in your registration form:
