DENGIE WINTER LEAGUE DRESSAGE
There are three stages to the series:
1. Preliminary Rounds are held between July and March all over the country, to enable competitors to qualify for their Area Competition
2. The 6 Area Competitions will take place between March and April for those who qualified through the Preliminary Rounds.
3. Those who were successful at the Area Competitions will go forward to the Championships
Open and Novice competitions and now NEW! – Intermediate section
The tests to be used at Preliminary Rounds can be downloaded free of charge from the Dressage pages of The Pony Club website.
Area Second Round Competitions and the Championships will use different tests.Preliminary rounds will be held at Field House, Beaver Hall and Barleyfields so check their websites. NEW HAT AND BODY PROTECTOR RULES HatsFrom the 1st January 2106 the hat standard BS EN 1384 has been removed as an accepted hat standard.Please bear this in mind when buying new riding hats. Accepted hat standards:PAS 015:1998 or 2011* with BSI Kitemark, VG1 with BSI Kitemark, Snell E2001* with the official Snell label and number, ASTM- F1163 2004a with the SEI mark, AS/NZS 3838 1998, 2003 or 2006 and NOCSAE certificate Polo ONLY Hats with peaks are not permitted in cross-country riding including Eventing, Tetrathlon, Horse Trials and also Pony Racing and Mounted Games. Jockey skull cap must be worn. Body protectors used in Cross Country or Pony Racing must be BETA Level 3 standard 2009.
Emergency at Work First Aid Course (EFAW)- Venue and dates to be confirmed.
This is a comprehensive first aid training courseideal for individuals who wish to know how to respond to emergency situations.We really would like to encourage people to take up this opportunity to train or renew as our pony club needs more first aid volunteers to help with rallies/events.
