World’s Finest Automotive Bra Installation Instructions: BMW 325
Parts Included: Four snap-screws (oversize)
Tools Required: 7mm wrench
8mm wrench
stubby Phillips screwdriver
Pre Installation
1)Carefully read and follow instructions to ensure optimal performance
2)Thoroughly wash & wax vehicle surfaces including inside wheel wells and under front bumper, to prevent entrapment of moisture and/or debris between paint finish and SpeedLingerieTM.
3)Place unfolded SpeedLingerieTM in direct sunlight, or near (but not in direct contact with) any radiant heat source for 20-30 minutes to warm-up the SpeedLingerieTM. Park the car in direct sunlight to warm-up the front-end surface. NOTE! Warming the SL and the vehicle front-end will make the SpeedLingerieTM more flexible and easier to install.
4)Orient yourself with SpeedLingerieTM. Notice placement correlation of mesh and grills.
5)For easier access to wheel well area, turn the steering wheel to the driver side.
Hardware installation
1)At the passenger side, notice the screw in the wheel well at approx the 2 o’clock position. It is
2)located about 2” from the wheel well lip edge.
3)Use the 7mm wrench to remove the screw and replace it with a snap screw.
4)At the passenger side, under the car and just in front of the wheel well there are two screws. The screw closer to the wheel well has an 8mm head.
5)Use the 8mm wrench to remove that screw and replace it with a snap screw.
6)Repeat steps #1-4 on the driver side (the driver side top screw will be at the 10 o’clock position).
Nose Cover Installation
1)Open the hood.
2)Face the front of the vehicle. Hold the properly oriented SpeedLingerieTM outstretched in front of you.
3)Slip the two (2) elastic loops over the hood stand-offs, to hang the SpeedLingerieTM in place.
4)Attach the side fastener on the passenger side first. Start at the bottom. Clip the lower portion of the fastener onto the wheel well lip and work your way up. Attach the vinyl-tab-snap into place at the 2 o’clock position. Next clip the top portion of the fastener (over the fender joint) and work upward.
5)Attach the snap under the rear corner of the spoiler.
6)Turn the steering wheel completely to the passenger side.
7)NOTE! Due to the perfectly tailored fit of SpeedLingerieTM, step#9 takes careful effort. Acquire assistance, to provide “slack” from the front-end midpoint. Do not pull on the molded fastener/stitching itself. Do not pull from the top edge. Installation becomes easier with repeated use.
8)Working from the passenger side, come across the front end and carefully but firmly stretch the SpeedLingerieTMe towards the driver side. Gather 6-8” of material at the molded fastener strip in your hands, and carefully but firmly pull from the midpoint (side marker level) and the lower corner (spoiler level). Repeat step#4 and #5 to clip the fastener on the driver side.
9)Attach (if applicable) the plastic clips at the bottom center to the bottom edge of the nose panel.
10)On the driver side, attach the two plastic clips at the side top edge, to the inside top edge of the fender just inside the engine compartment.
11)Repeat step#10 on the passenger side.
12)Stand back and admire your work.
Hood Boot Installation
1)NOTE! The underside hood reinforcement creates three (3) slots, at both side edges of the hood. Move the stock rubber bumper rearwards one slot, from the second slot to the third slot.
2)NOTE! There are six holes in the underside hood reinforcement near the hood front edge, three on the passenger side of the center grille and three on the driver side.
3)On the passenger side, slip the two (2)“castle-like” plastic fingers sewn to the hood boot, into the corresponding first and second hood reinforcement gaps (noted in step#1).
4)Bring the hood boot across the hood.
5)Repeat step#3 on the driver side.
6)Clip the six (6) underhood-clips to the corresponding holes under the hood (noted in step#2).
7)Align the hood release latch through the mesh over the grille.
8)The tension cord runs under of the inside of the hood grille (so it keeps tension at the bottom corners of the hood grille).
9)Clip the molded fastener to the bottom front hood edge, under the hood grille.
10)Align the emblem window with your hood emblem.
11)Test close the hood to the almost closed position, to verify the edges will clear.
12)Close the hood and admire your work.
Final Adjustment
1)Adjust SpeedLingerieTM where necessary, to assure proper fit.
2)For full effect of SpeedLingerieTM design and glove-like fit, allow 72 hours for material(s) to relax and conform to vehicle’s curves.
3)Park in a warm sunny spot with SL on for a few days, to help the process.
4)You may apply a quality vinyl conditioner if you so desire.
Care & Maintenance
1)For best results, be sure that vehicle surfaces are clean and dry before installing SpeedLingerieTM.
2)Always inspect SpeedLingerieTM fasteners and surfaces that contact vehicle for possible debris, sand, grit, etc… and remove before installation.
3)Periodically remove SpeedLingerieTM to allow complete aeration of vehicle paint finish and SpeedLingerieTM materials.
4)Remove SpeedLingerieTM before washing vehicle.
5)Remove SpeedLingerieTMafter exposure to rain or other fluids/moisture.
6)Clean outer vinyl surfaces of SpeedLingerieTM with a high quality conditioner during routine car maintenance.
7)Clean felt inner surface with water if necessary, allowing it to dry completely, and brush/vacuum out any remaining particles.
